Neo-Natal Resuscitation (NRP)

Course Description: The Neonatal Resuscitation Program is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovasculer Care of the Neonates.

The NRP Program consists of three parts.

1. Self-study of the current NRP guidelines as found in the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation 6th edition.

2. A NRP Online Exam that covers all 9 chapters of the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, and a classroom skills demo and practice. After you complete your registration for the NRP Classroom Portion you will receive an email telling you how to register for the NRP Online Exam.

NOTE: The American Academy of Pediatrics Self-study Textbook for Neonatal Resuscitation is available for purchase seperately.  The textbook is not mandatory but it is very helpful in studying for the online examination if you are not familiar with the current NRP 2010 guidelines, (it is unlikely you will be successful with the online portion without reviewing the text).

3. In classroom skills practice and demonstration
