 Medics for Life, Inc. offers two ways to complete the American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider course; a hybrid course or an all classroom course chose which is most convenient for you. The certification Card is the same for both courses. Any questions please contact us.


HYBRID COURSE

Part 1 is done online, Part 2 skills practice & evaluation are done in person with an American Heart Association Instructor. Textbook is NOT required for Hybrid course. The skills portion can be done at our facility or yours, call for group pricing.

Directions for completing the hybrid course:

STEP ONE: Click on link below titled "Heartcode BLS" The link will take you to the American Heart Association Website, make sure to complete the course by the exact same name as the link , the course code is #15-1400 under BLS-Basic Life Support. The cost of the online portion is $28.50. After you have completed the online portion print the completion certificate and remember to bring it with you to the skills portion

STEP TWO: After completing the online portion and printing out your completion certificate click on the following link to register for the in person practice and skills evaluation portion. The cost of in person practice and skills evaluation portion is $65.00. Skills sessions held at 8022 San Miguel Canyon Road, Prunedale, CA, 93907 (for directions click on "info library"). We gaurantee a skills sign off every Thursday evening at 6:00pm, other dates and times are listed as well.

CLASSROOM COURSE

COMPLETE COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Description: The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Course Length: Hybrid Course- Approximately 2 hours online and 1.5 hours for skills portion. Classroom Course-Approximately 4 hours

Intended Audience: Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.
